For my film magazine I looked at the popular magazines like Total Film and Entertainment Weekly.
I tried out one colour scheme for my magazine which fitted the genre of my movie trailer. Because I picked horror I tried the dark background and the dark red writing. I wanted to form some sort of synergy between the poster and the magazine. The image below doesn't have the completed picture of the actor included because he was unavailable for a shoot before this draft was made.
I am unsure as to whether this draft looks professional enough. I realise there has to be some form of synergy between the poster and the cover but i feel like maybe the magazine has lost it's identity with all the 'horror-style' colours and fonts. I want to try a few different colour schemes before i make a definite decisions.
After thinking about it i decided a new colour scheme was needed to create an identity for the magazine. That is when i created this.
I feel like now the magazine has it's own colour scheme and brand and is not just copying the film scheme. The photo isn't ideal but it was all i could use. The red banner links the synergy between the movie poster and trailer.
